As part of the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” Abhiyan, MY Bharat and its partner organisations organised “Walk for Nasha Mukt Yuva” on October 4, 2026, across more than 150 locations nationwide, witnessing the enthusiastic participation of over 1 lakh youth and citizens.

The nationwide initiative aimed to create widespread awareness among youth and communities about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to promote healthy, responsible and addiction-free lifestyles. The programme brought together young people, citizens, public representatives and partner organisations to reinforce the message of collective responsibility in building a healthier and drug-free society.
As part of the initiative, participants took part in 3–5 km walks, Nukkad Nataks, slogan writing, heritage walks and other youth-led awareness activities. These activities used public spaces and community participation to spread awareness about the risks associated with substance abuse and encourage young people to make healthy and responsible lifestyle choices.

The enthusiastic participation of youth, citizens, public representatives and partner organisations across the country reflects the growing collective resolve to build a Nasha Mukt Yuva for a Viksit Bharat. The initiative reinforces the vision of empowering young people to lead healthier lives and become active contributors to a healthier, stronger and developed India.
The “Walk for Nasha Mukt Yuva” is part of the broader Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Abhiyan, which seeks to mobilise youth and communities through sustained awareness, participation and collective action against substance abuse
