LG Sinha Inspects Amarnath Yatra Track Restoration Following Heavy Rain.

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha convened a high-level meeting with Camp Directors and key officials to assess ongoing repair and restoration efforts along the Shri Amarnathji Yatra routes following recent downpours.

During the meeting—attended by top civil administration, police, military, Shrine Board, BRO, and emergency service officials—the LG evaluated damage to footpaths, safety railings, and core infrastructure. He urged teams to focus immediate efforts on areas susceptible to landslides and falling rocks.

To enhance safety along the route, LG Sinha ordered the deployment of extra Mountain Rescue Teams (MRTs) and emphasized providing pilgrims with prompt weather alerts. He also called for uninterrupted basic services, including clean water, power, communications, and medical support.

Separately, the Lieutenant Governor paid tribute to the nation’s fallen soldiers on the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas, honoring their sacrifices during Operation Vijay and expressing gratitude to their families.
