Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has officially resigned, submitting his departure letter to PM Modi following mounting.
Announcing the move on X, Pradhan stated he stepped down in the interest of students’ futures, aiming to curb further political instability and keep students out of legal battles.
The resignation follows relentless youth-led protests at Jantar Mantar and across India, spearheaded by the CJP (led by Abhijeet Dipke).
The decision was finalized shortly after CJP leaders met with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, who had asked for a one-day window to evaluate the demand.

In a public statement on X, Pradhan explained that his resignation to PM Modi was made to safeguard students’ careers and restore calm across the country. The announcement followed high-level talks between government officials and CJP representatives, who had been orchestrating national protests demanding his exit.
