DC Rajouri Reviews Progress of Aspirational Block Development Programme in Khawas, Calls for Accelerated Implementation

RAJOURI, JULY 06: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired review meeting to assess the implementation and progress of the Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) in Khawas, emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts and timely achievement of development targets.

‎The meeting reviewed the performance of key departments under the programme, including Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Rural Development Department (RDD), Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Health, Social Welfare, Micro Irrigation and other allied sectors.

‎During the meeting, it was informed that several developmental works under the Aspirational Block Development Programme are currently in progress in Khawas, and departments were directed to maintain momentum and ensure their timely completion while adhering to quality standards.

‎The Deputy Commissioner said that the Aspirational Block Development Programme aims to accelerate socio-economic development by improving key indicators across priority sectors. He stressed the importance of enhancing departmental performance and ensuring that all prescribed targets are achieved within the stipulated timelines.

‎To ensure effective implementation and ground-level monitoring, the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officers to undertake regular field visits to Khawas, closely monitor ongoing works, identify bottlenecks and ensure prompt resolution of issues. He emphasized that field inspections are essential for assessing the actual progress of developmental initiatives and improving service delivery.

‎The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to adopt a collaborative and result-oriented approach to bridge developmental gaps, expedite execution of projects and deliver tangible benefits to the people. He also called for effective convergence among departments to maximize the impact of government interventions in the aspirational block.

‎The meeting was attended by ADDC Malikzada Sheraz-ul-Haq, ACD Auqil Nuvaid, DDE Mohd. Nawaz Choudhary; Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manohar Lal Rana and officers from the concerned departments.
