Rajouri, July 02: A delegation representing the local populace of Budhal Assembly Segment, led by senior BJP leader and State General Secretary BJP ST Morcha J&K UT, Shri Manzoor Ahmed Naik, today met Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shri Abhishek Sharma (IAS), and submitted a detailed memorandum regarding the alleged arbitrary alteration of the PRI CAPEX Plan 2026-27 and irregularities in the selection of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in various Panchayats of Budhal Assembly Segment.
The delegation informed the Deputy Commissioner that the original CAPEX plans, prepared democratically through Deh-Majlis and Gram Sabha meetings in all 61 Panchayats of the constituency, were allegedly altered without public consent, undermining the spirit of grassroots democracy and participatory governance. The delegation also raised concerns over alleged favouritism and inclusion of ineligible persons in PMAY beneficiary lists while deserving poor families were left out.
The delegation requested cancellation of the altered CAPEX plans, restoration of the original Gram Sabha-approved plans and constitution of a high-level enquiry into both the CAPEX and PMAY issues.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shri Abhishek Sharma (IAS), gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that the grievances would be examined on priority and an appropriate enquiry would be conducted to ensure fair and transparent redressal of the issues raised.
Other prominent leaders present were Chowdhary Mir Hussain, Liyaqat Ali, Taj Thakker, Sain Khan, Abbas Ali, Mohd Javed, Master Saddama, Munshi Khan, Shabir Aflatoon, Shakeel Thakker and many others were also present.
