New Delhi, June 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain on the occasion of Muharram, saying that his sacrifice remains a timeless source of inspiration for those committed to truth and justice.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said that the life and martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) exemplify courage, conviction and unwavering adherence to righteous principles.
Muharram, particularly observed by Shia Muslims, marks the remembrance of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, who was martyred in the Battle of Karbala.
